Summer’s here and it’s time to relax right?  Well there are a few things that you can do/think about as you prepare to either head off to college or begin searching for/applying to college.

This month our counselors begin their discussion outlining some funding options available to students and their families looking to meet the additional cost of their college that was not covered in financial aid.  Learn about the different loan programs as well as how to determine what the loan payment could equal based on the amount borrowed.

Rising high school juniors may have over a year before they need to begin applying to colleges, but that doesn’t mean they should take the summer off.  Begin touring colleges, take an interest inventory and complete a job shadow.  These action items can make you feel on top of your college search process.

Rising seniors, are you nervous about writing your college essay?  Don’t be!  While the essay is a factor in your college application, it is only a piece of the equation.  Our counselors explain why the essay is reviewed and what you can do to lessen your anxiety about writing one.
