I promised that I would send along any scholarship information that I receive, and I just found out about a great opportunity for 25 high school students to each win $1000 scholarships. The scholarships are offered through Educational Research Center of America, Inc. and has a deadline of July 15, 2011. To qualify, you must be a legal resident of the US and demonstrated an extraordinary contribution to your community or high school. Hey Val - thanks! I also found out about iamcollegebound.org last week - one girl in my class won a $1000 scholarship! The guy who came to class said there will be more $1000 scholarships in June and I think August. Is that right?

Hi Liza- You heard right! There are more awards that will be given out in June and August. Go to iamcollegebound.org, create a profile and start earning points. Who knows...that same guy may be back next month to give you $1000. Wouldn't that be great?!
