Decision Made!
Hi Readers,
I finally have decided which college I am attending this fall! I chose a community college in central New Hampshire. Before I made my final decision I visited all three of the colleges I received acceptance letters from multiple times. Some of my friends that are currently in college advised me to not only visit the campus during a formal tour, but to walk around on my own to get a real feel for the school environment. So I listened! I visited the colleges during my vacation week, during the weekend, and twice during the week. I wanted to see the school environment from every angle!
On my visits I made sure to walk through the dorms so I would know what to expect when I arrive on move-in day. I also made sure I ate in the cafeteria so I knew if I would like it or not. (It was delicious, thank goodness!) I also made sure to save time to go see a few of the classrooms that I would be taking my classes. I wanted to get a feel for what the set-up would be like and while there I even got to sit in on a class that was in session! I asked my tour guide, who was actually a student, a bunch of different questions as well. I really enjoyed having a student tour guide because she gave me insight about the college that was easier for me to relate to.
I chose my college based on all of these aspects. I knew I didn't want to go to a college that was too far from home but I knew I didn't want to live at home, therefore I needed a college that had dorms. I knew I wanted to be a nurse so I needed a school that had a nursing program. I found all of these at my college and couldn’t be happier!
I hope that you are enjoying choosing your college and that you are happy with your decision too!
Best of luck,
Meryssa

Congratulations Meryssa! It must feel good to have made a decision. I also made my decision recently and now I am looking forward to having an orientation in June where I can meet other new students. I think that will make my transition in the Fall that much easier.
