May Podcast Available for Listening!

(written by Val, College Counselor at the Center for College Planning)

Good afternoon bloggers,

It’s podcast time again!  The College Counselors here at the CCP record a podcast every month where we talk about important college planning topics for high school juniors and seniors.  Each podcast has 3 8 to 10 minute segments where we offer tips and advice to guide you and your family through the college planning process.  This month, we have three great topics!  First, we talk about the importance of college resumes and scholarship applications; what to include, where to look and the benefits of creating a living document to capture your activities and accomplishments.  Next, we cover summer opportunities for rising high school seniors including job shadows, pre-college programs and ways to gather information in the career field of your choice.  We wrapped up this podcast talking with Brian Walker, one of our college counselors who works in New Hampshire’s North Country.  Brian gives a great update on what college planning activities are taking place in the North Country.

We hope you find this podcast helpful and informative.  If you would like for us to explore a topic during an upcoming podcast, please post a comment and let us know!  We would love to discuss areas that you have questions about!

Happy listening,
Val
