Have you started your search for scholarships yet? While searches may be time consuming, there are so many different scholarships out there. Some require essays, and some require financial information. At the Center for College Planning we often have students ask us, “What if I’m not a top student? Are there still scholarships for me?” or “My parents make too much, no one will give me any free money.” Well NHHEAF has two scholarship opportunities just for you!

For the second year in a row, NHHEAF is offering the Take it to the Bank Scholarship Giveaway. That’s right, giveaway! There is no essay required, no financial information required, and it will take less then 2 minutes to put your name into the random monthly drawing.

At the end of each month (between now and August 2010) NHHEAF will randomly select a winner of a $1,000 scholarship. If you don’t win it the first month, be sure to go back to the website and register again. Applying for a scholarship couldn’t be made any easier!

In addition to our Take It to the Bank Scholarship, NHHEAF is also sponsoring another scholarship. This one is a speech contest. What NHHEAF would like you to do is compose a 5-7 minute speech discussing your college planning adventure. If you are selected as the winner, you will present your speech at Destination College on March 27, 2010. Be sure to visit the website to submit your speech. The deadline to submit is January 29, 2010.
