Krystal, a Rising STAR
Hello, I’m Krystal one of the new Rising STAR bloggers. I am writing my first blog this month and looking forward to writing for this blog through June. I hope you continue reading!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I went into foster care at age 15. I was adopted by my foster parents at age 17. I’m currently a senior in a public high school here in New Hampshire. I know I want to pursue a career as a social worker and look forward to starting that process in the near future.
As one of the Rising STAR bloggers, my job is to inform you about the college admission process. I hope that my blogs will either help you as you go through the process yourself or just help familiarize you with the process for when you are ready to start the process. You probably have many questions, I know I did. The most important piece of advice I can share with you is to just take a deep breath, stay calm and don’t stress. The process isn’t that bad once you get into it. Also, make sure you are checking in with your guidance counselor. They can be one of your biggest resources!
Bye for now…
