College, Right Now?!

With growing college tuitions and a turbulent economy, a common question among high school parents and students might be, “Is now a good time to go to college?” This question is obviously driven by the concern on funding an education that is generally increasing annually, all while parents are concerned for their jobs, sometimes on a daily basis. The answer to the question is absolutely YES; now is a great time to go to college!

Despite the cost of education, many people (both traditional college students and returning to learning students), are finding this is a great time to make an investment in themselves. More and more adult learners are finding their way back to school after being laid off. After testing the job market, many are deciding pursuing their education as a great way to “ride out the storm.” It's also a way to make themselves more marketable when the economy improves.

I had written this article a few days ago, and literally the next day there was a front page article in the NH Union Leader talking about this same issue. To read the article click here.

What feedback do you have? Are you a high school senior wondering if you should go to college? Are you a parent wondering if the investment in college is worth it given the economy? Are you an adult learner thinking about going to college?

Right time,

Rich
