Hi, my name is Lauryn and I am a Junior at a high school in southern NH. I am taking an internship class at my school to get a hands-on feel for what it is like to work in the Business/Marketing field; which is what I plan on pursuing as my career in the future.
  
I am currently doing an internship with the Center for College Planning at NHHEAF. I am not only getting to experience “real work”, but this has helped push me to get going on preparing for college.

One of my responsibilities here at NHHEAF is to share the process I am starting to go through with preparing for college as part of the Joe College Blog. My hope is to let you, as readers, into my thoughts as I sort out questions like: What exactly do I want to do? Where do I want to go to school? Do I want to play lacrosse or any kind of sport? How big of a school? How far from home? How do I get in or even apply? How am I going to write the essay? How do I prepare for the SAT? Or the most scary - how will I PAY FOR SCHOOL?

As the first college student in my family, the college process is new to all of us, and ALL these questions sometimes become very overwhelming.

Over the next couple of months I hope to answer many of these concerns and questions. I plan on sharing this scary, yet exciting, experience with everyone and hope that in the end, I will have successfully answered or touched upon any questions that anyone has had.  What questions do you have about college?
